Meghan Thomas and I are staying in Boston until Thursday. Today we went to a marketing workshop by Marathon Press. It was great to focus on my business and how I can have the best products and services for all of my awesome customers. We already have met so many awesome people from this area. I love meeting other wedding vendors and photographers. We learn so much from each other.
Tonight we went to IKEA! I was like a kid in a candy store. If you have ever been to Ikea before you understand the shear size of this store. I bought some awesome lights and accessories for my bridal show booth for September.
Tomorrow is the last day of our marketing workshop and then it is off to hang out downtown, Ikea again, and then on Wednesday we are going to do a photo shoot in downtown Boston and then go to the Sallee's workshop in Quincy. Please continue the emails and phone calls, I am trying to return them while I am here!

Congrats to Chris & Erin Osetek!
Isaac & I photographed Chris & Erin's wedding last night. It was such a nice day until dinner time when a storm rolled through. We had such a great time getting to know Chris, Erin, and their guests on their wedding day. Let me tell you these two know how to arrive in style. They had 4 limos throughout the day. Including a Rolls Royce for the boys until the ceremony. The ceremony was held at St. Stephens church in Oswego. Then we headed on over to Bayshore Grove where the reception was held. We had a great time taking photos down on the rocks. Thanks girls for being good sports and getting down there.

Where did this month go?
As I unpacked from camping today I thought to myself... "Self, Where did July go?" Week after week I have been busy or away and all of a sudden August will be here next week. Camping was great, but it rained the entire time! I didn't get a chance to take any photos because I didn't want my equipment to get ruined. (I don't take such risks on vacations). Of course today was beautiful while we were packing up.
Tomorrow we have Erin & Chris's wedding at Bayshore Grove in Oswego,NY. This weekend is Harborfest so it should be a little interesting dodging between traffic to get to the reception.
On Sunday I am leaving from Boston with my good friend and fellow photographer Meghan Thomas. The two of us like to go on photo adventures together. This time it is taking us to Boston from Sunday to Thursday to attend a business workshop and J.B. & DeEtte Sallee's "I shoot people tour". I am so excited about having some time to focus on my business and to learn some amazing skills from a couple Isaac and I can relate to. I will have some awesome new products, actions, and ideas for when I get back.
Once I am back I don't want to leave for another month. Traveling gets tiring. I almost forgot what my bed feels like!

camping
As many of you know Isaac and I are huge outdoor enthusiasts. I just wanted to let you all know that we will be away until Friday afternoon. We are finally getting away for a 100% personal trip. All too often we mix business with our vacation which leads to us doing work in a hotel or families house 8 hrs a day... not quite what I have in mind for a "vacation". So please keep the phone calls and emails coming! I will be sure to respond to everything as soon as I get home on Friday.

Kelly & Brian's amazing wedding
Last night Isaac and I photographed Kelly & Brian Holt's wedding at Saratoga National Golf Course in Saratoga Springs,NY. It was such an amazing day. Kelly & Brian live in Denver so we didn't meet them until this week. Right away we noticed their love for each other. What a perfect pair! The ceremony was held under a tent on the lawn at Saratoga National. It was such a beautiful ceremony with an Irish blessing and a guitar/violin duet playing the music. After the ceremony we went onto the golf course and had a great time taking the family photos. The staff at Saratoga National was extraordinary, they kept bringing drinks and appetizers down to all of us while we were taking photos.
Then once the family photos were out of the way we got a set of golf carts and went off into the course to take photos of Brian & Kelly. Both Isaac and I had such a great time going out and taking photos on the course with Brian & Kelly, and I know they appreciated the quiet time to be together before the party started.
When we got back the party started inside. If you are getting married in the next two years you need to check out Saratoga National for your wedding. The staff, the food, and the amenities are all top of the line. The ballroom and the cocktail lounge have 50" flat panel TV's that we were able to hook into. During dinner we made a preview slide show of some of the photos we took throughout that day and showed them on all the TV's, what a treat for the bride and groom!
City Rhythm, a band by New York Players rocked the party. I highly recommend this high energy band for your wedding. The cake was made by Saratoga National... it was beautiful and tasty. There was even chocolate mousse served with the cake that was out of this world. The flowers were made by Price Chopper. They were very nice as well.
To wrap up this long blog I just want to say congratulations to Brian & Kelly. Thank you for letting us document your day. I hope you cherish your photos for the rest of your life. Have a great time in Costa Rica. The photos will be up online in 2-3 weeks. Click on Kelly & Brian's name to be notified when the rest of the photos are ready. Ryan & Heather got married!
On July 12th Heather & Ryan got married at LeMoyne College in Syracuse,NY. It was a wonderful day with great people. We had almost two hours between the ceremony and reception to take photos all around Syracuse. It is a photographers dream to have that much time to take photos. It was in the mid 90's but everyone was still having fun. We took photos on the LeMoyne campus, at Thornden Park, and Onondaga Lake Park. We finished up the night at Barbagello's. Visa Versa rocked the party all night. We worked with videographer Joe Gibbons all day. I cannot wait to see the video! It will be about 7-10 days before the photos get posted online! Congratulations to Jared & Alicia
We had the great honor and privilege to photograph Jared & Alicia on their wedding day July 5th. I met up with the girls early in the morning at the hair salon and captured the exciting of getting pampered! Their wedding ceremony and reception were held at Borios on the lake in Syracuse,NY.
